The United States has released a list of eligible countries for the 2025 visa exemption program, excluding Nigeria and other African countries. According to the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs website, the program allows citizens or nationals from most participating countries to travel or business to the United States for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa.
“Travelers must have valid Electronic Travel Authorization System (ESTA) approval before traveling and meet all the requirements described below. If you wish to have a visa on your passport, you may still apply for a visitor visa,” the agency said.
The visa exemption program for 2025 includes 40 countries, and Romania is the latest. The UK is excluded from the scheme but is still eligible under certain conditions. The United States focuses on enhancing security inspections and priorities through strong diplomatic ties and border security standards.
