George stressed that the existing structure of PDP could solve internal problems.
The chief of Bode George’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Rivers Governor Similaye Fubara to stay in the party, rather than dominate all the progressive Congress (APC). George called in an interview on Channel TV’s politics today, urging Fubara to “stay stable in his course” and to use the structure of the PDP to solve any problems.
George said: “You don’t need to jump. Let’s look at the party. It’s our own party. We have a structure. We have the President, the State Secretary, the National Organization Committee, the State Female Leader.”
He added that those who want decamp should do so, but stressed the ability of PDP to solve its challenges.

George’s appeal comes after rumors that Forbala may be considering moving to the APC, after Delta State Governor Sheriff Oberevwori rebelled against the ruling party.
Forbala is currently suspended as governor during the political crisis in Rivers, and President Bra Tinubu nominated Ibok Iq Ibas as state executive.
