Samuel Anyanwu is the party’s state secretary, former governor’s aspiring volunteer Segun Showunmi, a former governor of the People’s Democratic Party of Ogun State (PDP).
Naija News Showunmi says Supreme Court’s ruling favors Anyanwu instead of Sunday Ude-Okoyerecognized by the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
In an interview with Arise News on Monday, the PDP Chief slammed the statement of the PDP National Propaganda Secretary helpthis recognizes Ude-Okoye.
Showunmi said Ogolunagba’s statement was not the position of the party’s NWC, the governor’s forum, nor the position of the party’s board of directors (BOT).
His words: “I made a judgment in court. Not only am I interested in the judgment of the judgment, but I am also interested in how to make the judgment. Now, the judgment, a judgment that is not yet ready, a true copy of the certification. I know that my NWC’s NWC has not sat down to consider our judgment. But I know the facts of our national legal counsel. We take the tyranny of the hands of our hands and then start to destroy our own private interpretations to judge that the paper copy is not even there.
“So, “and I want to deeply plead with the media to ignore everything Olinogba said now. I’m not saying he’s not a propaganda secretary. I said that no party had imagination, and an official, especially the Minister of Propaganda, represented the total number of robots, was the governor’s forum, and there was no party with the party at that time. Only when they consider and hold positions.
“That said, the court said many things, which you have allded to, and I don’t want to waste time on that. The court said, it is your internal affairs. But in its lead judgment, it agreed with the prayers of the man who went to court, which is Anyanwu. And for the record, Section 47, 5 of our Constitution says any officer elected into the executive committee of the party at any level may resign, not shall, his or Her office, by giving 30 days’ notice. Now, those who Anyanwu realized this rule in the IMO Governor’s election, so they did not stop him now.
“But what I want to say is, I want to make it clear that, as the Supreme Court ruling today, Anyanwu is the state secretary of the party. If the NWC considers the judgment, and then now that they have obtained the power to issue the internal affairs and do other things, then when we get to that bridge, we will cross it.
“I think it’s totally wrong with the integrity of the country, including all the issues they’re dealing with. The party.”
