Michelle Anuoluwapo, 12, reignited the paternity controversy when she publicly asked the singer to take a DNA test on Instagram on Thursday. She claims to be the daughter of Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
However, the singer responded bluntly, saying he had been tested five separate times, all of which came back negative.
Anuolwapo detailed the emotional toll of her controversial parentage in an Instagram post on Thursday. She calls herself “Davido’s eldest daughter.”
She revealed that she faced severe bullying from the age of six, with classmates mocking her for claiming Davido was her father.
She wrote: “I am a teenager this year. My mom and grandma have always taught me to be a responsible teenager. Don’t do drugs, drink too much, don’t make friends, don’t do bad things. Today, without the help of relatives, I drafted a letter that I wrote from the heart.
“As I grew older, I wanted to establish my own identity. From the age of six, I was bullied at school and came home crying every day. When I told other students that my father was Mr David Adeleke, they laughed at me.”
