The Niger State Police Command has arrested an addict in Bonnie, a suspected drug addict in the Maliga local government area of the state.
The commander’s spokesman Sp Wasiu Abiodun revealed this in a statement over the weekend, saying the suspect Hashimu Sani stabbed a Musa Bala with a knife and a Musa Bala with a knife.
According to PPRO, the suspect was unable to state any reason for his actions, but was determined to be a drug addict.
“At 17 February 2025, at 10:30 pm, police agents from Kotonkoro were linked to Bangi Div and arrested Hashimu Sani of Kotonkoro Village for 23 years, dyeing suspicious blood with two knives. According to reports, the suspect allegedly used Musa Bala, who had been stabbed in the same area in the neck for 20 years.”
“When questioned, he could not state the reasons for his actions or any dispute between the deceased.
“Just confirm that the suspect is a drug addict, usually brags, if he k!lls someone, nothing will happen.
“He has been transferred to SCID for further investigation and prosecution.”
