A suspicious thief cut off the vendor’s throat as a client and fled his gun without paying for it in the federal capital area.
According to the gathering, the incident occurred at the gate 1 of the town of Dutse-Alhaji, Bwari Regional Commission of FCT, on Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025, where the victim Babangida Abdullahi (25) once sold a belt.
The victim spoke to the daily trust on a hospital bed at Kubowa General Hospital on Thursday, and he told him that he was approached by two men who pretended to be customers and asked to buy a belt from him.
“One of the victims chose one of my belt worth N1500 and put it in his pocket. I faced his actions, but he refused to return the belt to me, and he didn’t pay for it,” the victim said.
“He continued to pull out a sharp object from his pocket, chopped me around his neck, and fled the scene across the highway.”
A health official on duty told the Daily Trust that a police officer took the victim to the hospital, adding that surgery was performed on his neck involving veins close to his throat artery.
The health official further complained that so far no one has approached the victims’ members, relatives or colleagues, which has put them in a burden of buying injections, drugs and other drugs from their pockets so far.
Emmanuel Musa, the hospital’s chief medical director, responded that they would find a way to care for their victims while searching for his people.
