The decision comes after backlash over the controversial “Gender Swap Day”, which the university said violated its dress code and ethical standards.
In a statement signed by Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Bacow on Sunday, the management described the incidents as “regrettable” and accused SUG leadership of poor oversight.
According to reports, some students involved have been arrested and will face disciplinary action or possible prosecution.
Meanwhile, SUG president Victor Mishak Abednego apologized to the school and promised to strictly abide by school rules at future events.
