TEMS beat Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido won the best African music performance
Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi (commonly known as TEMS) better than compatriots Davido, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Asake, won the best African Music Performance Award on Sunday’s 67th Grammys.
TEMS’s popular song “LOVE Me Jeje” has won in “Yemi Alade”; “MMS” (Asake & Wizkid); “sensational” (Chris Brown); and “Davido & Lojay); and” ” Burna Boy.
Seyi Sodimu’s SEYI SODIMU song “Love Me Jeje” in 1997 was released in April last year.
TEMS’s victory means that women have won the newly introduced category back.
South African singer Tyla won the Girls Award last year with the world’s popular “water”.
At the same time, TEMS missed two other nominations.
She lost to SZA’s “Saturn” and Matt B’s best R & B songs, including “Alkebulan II” of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
