The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said the woman had entered Kissimmee Lake south of Orlando near Tiger Creek mouth when she was attacked after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
The FWC added that she walked into the water until her body was recovered nearby.

Sheriff’s officials said the woman was with another person during the attack.
Emergency responses include Fish and Wildlife Conservation Officer and Polk County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The woman was in a kayak, featuring an enclosed hull, and another person without injuries, the sheriff’s office said in another statement.
But a committee spokesman said the agency believed it was a canoe – also a paddle boat, but had an open hull.
Investigators did not release any details about the attack or the crocodile.
The signed nuisance crocodile skin catcher has been dispatched to the area.
