A nanny in Kansas discovered a shocking discovery of no “monster” hidden under the bed while trying to prove a child to her care.
On Monday, March 24, around 10:30 p.m. local time, authorities responded to a “reported call call” in the 2000 block of Patton Road, just outside Big Bend, the Patton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a Facebook post on March 26.
“After arriving, deputies contacted the victim, who said she was caring for the children at the residence. When the children were put to bed, one of the children complained about a ‘monster’ under the bed.”
“When the victim tried to show the child that there was nothing under the bed, she faced with a male suspect hiding there. A dispute followed by a babysitter, one of whom was knocked down in the struggle. The suspect then fled the scene before the deputies arrived,” the post added.
Officials confirmed that Martin Villalobos Junior, 27, was arrested and transported to the Patton County Jail.
The post said the suspect had lived at the residence but “currently there was protection against him from the abuse orders that were far from the property.”
Although he was found under the bed searching for the area at night, he was unable to find Villalobos Junior, the next morning the police continued to search for him.
“The suspect was the moment he saw it in the 2000 block of Patton Road, where he tried to escape from law enforcement. After a short pursuit, the suspect was captured.”
Officials confirmed that the suspect had been “indemnified kidnapping, aggravated theft, aggravated assault, dangerous child, felony offenses that obstruct law enforcement officers’ protection of abuse orders”, officials confirmed.
Police said Villalobos Junior was “detained in lieu of $500,000 in margin”.
