Senior journalist Sam Omatseye claimed on Tuesday that former President Muhammadu Buhari never wanted Bola Tinubu to be his successor.
According to Omatseye, Buhari and the surrounding vagina worked with Tinubu in 2023 because they were afraid of him.
Naija News Buhari and those around him started their plans to remove Adams Oshiomhole as the president of the All Progressive Conference (APC) as reportedly said in an interview on Edmund Obilo podcast State Affairs released on Tuesday.
According to Omatseye “Buhari and the people around him don’t want Tinubu because they are afraid of him. Remember that there was a distant relationship between Buhari and Tinubu within a year after Buhari became president.
“The story even points out that they want to delete his pass to the state capitol. That’s the level of alienation.
“But, again, he (Buhari) knew that his desire for a second term would be difficult if Tinubu was not standing by him, because Tinubu’s structure and genius would demobilize him.
“After the second term was guaranteed in the election, they started planning and the first thing they did was take over the party structure (top brass) from him because they found out that Oshiomhole was his man. If he were the head of the party, it would be difficult.
“It’s not his own, some governors don’t want Asiwaju to remain tall at the party. Of course, the cabals around Buhari don’t want him. They deleted Oshiomhole, and that’s the first step.”
