The former offender was sentenced to two years in prison one month after being released from prison for similar offences in Niger State.

A high district court in the local government district of Pudo State in Niger State is located in the local government district of Pudo City in Niger State, Abdulmutalib Abdullahi, a former criminal who has been sentenced to 44 years in a correctional center. Sentenced to two years without the choice of crime, crime, criminal intimidation and theft.

The offender is said to have been sentenced to jail for similar offenses after being convicted in a Higher Magistrate Court in Minna.

He is said to have just completed his term in prison in January 2025, which has been included in the first Information Report (FIR), submitted by a police cooperative affiliated with the Bosso Department Police Commander.

Abdullahhi was convicted for crimes, crime intimidation and theft

According to police prosecutor Sergeant Angela Jah, these three charges are subject to penalties under sections 288,349 and 397 of the Criminal Law Act.

Abdullahi broke into Mohammed Mohammed Shaba’s residential building and moved away an HP laptop worth N500,000, a Samsung Galaxy 59 phone, an Infinix Hot 7 and Nokia Nos Nos 105 etc.

The offender pleaded guilty to the charges.

At this time, police prosecutor Sgt. Angela Jah prays that the court will convict him under Article 190 of the Criminal Justice Act of the State of Niger (ACJA).

During the passage of the verdict on the offender, moderator Evelyn Auta believed that the offender was a habitual and criminal offender who needed to be taken away from the community and stayed in the correctional center.

“A careful reading of the first information report (FIR) and noted that the offender had just completed his term in prison for similar offenses, where he was sentenced to a two-year correctional detention center without the option of a fine.”
