Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez was sentenced to five years in prison for attempting to murder a man accused of assaulting his four-year-old son. Velasquez was arrested in 2022 in a car chase when he fired a gun at a car that he accused him of being harassed his 4-year-old son. Although the target was Harry Goularte, the bullet eventually hit his stepfather. Velasquez was sentenced to five years in Santa Clara, California, on Monday, despite receiving three-year honors, according to TMZ.Meanwhile, Goularte faces a felony charge of obscene behavior and will be tried on June 2. Velasquez, who reportedly expressed remorse on Monday, had previously reached an agreement with prosecutors to avoid life sentences after several trial delays. Velasquez previously acknowledged “What I did” in his speech on the Kyle Kingsbury podcast, and “What I did is very dangerous to others. ’Not just the people involved, but to the innocent. I understand what I did, and I am willing to do everything I have to pay back.” “Whether the court is right about what I want to do, I will look up, and it’s still me, don’t play the blame game. It was me who did it and reacted in this way. Velasquez added that he forgave the Goularte family, who runs the so-called harassment daycare. “Even with that family and what they do, I can’t feel hatred for them,” he said. “Because I have to keep going and give love to my children and to those around me.” Velasquez’s MMA career was highlighted by his two UFC champions. He won the championship by defeating Brock Lesnar in 2010, before losing to junior dos Santos in his first defense. He will continue to regain the title in the 2012 rematch and throw it to Fabricio Werdum in 2012. The former UFC heavyweight champion was sentenced to five years in prison for five years, the champion was sentenced to five years in prison for being accused of sxu@lly Ass@ulting’s Murdr, whose 4-year-old son first appeared on the Linda Ikeji blog.
