This claim was quickly proven false, with Pete Edochie and his family assuring the public that the veteran actor was alive and in good health.
On his Instagram account, Yule posted a striking photo of his father, along with a heartfelt message celebrating his life and legacy.
he called pete “The Lion of Africa” and described him as his lifelong role model and “Ezigbo mmadu” meaning a truly good man. Yul also expressed his belief that his father would live to be over 100 years old.
“You will definitely live to be over 100 years old” he wrote.
In the post, Yule strongly denied the false reports and advised the public to ignore any suggestion that his father was dead.
“The public is kindly requested to ignore any false news regarding the death of Chief Pete Edochie. The African Lion is still alive, strong and full of spirit.” he emphasized.

Nigeria has over 100 million people and you will have a fresh baby for yourself but like someone who comes with a lot of baggage 😂, so Obasi’s daughter is getting married, do you think you will be the one to give her to her?”
