Ibok-ete Ibas, the only administrator of Rivers State, has directed all heads of local government administration departments of 23 local councils to provide detailed reports on their activities, labor and income sources.
The directive was Dame Dr., Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs. This is Awaniand involve all LGA administrative leaders.
According to the memorandum, the report must be submitted to the Office of the Permanent Secretary by 26 March 2025.
The document is expected to follow a specific format, including introduction, council functions, employee details classified by cadres, and revenue sources.
In addition, the report must cover ongoing and completed projects over the past two years, major achievements, existing challenges, recommendations, and summary.
The memorandum reads: “His Excellency, the sole administrator of the River State, directs that all heads of the administrative departments of the local government shall submit the report of their board of directors to the office of the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Local Government Affairs.
“I also want to inform you that all submissions using the format listed below should be arrived at the office on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 or before Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in order to take further action to the only administrator’s office of Harcourt Port Harcourt.
