PDP’s FCT minister and chief Nyesom Wike said the PDP could not afford the presidential vote to the north by 2027.
Vick said during a conversation with journalists in Abuja today on May 12.
PDP cannot send the Northern President! I’ve told them! Selfishness kills the system. For example. If the president runs in 2027 and wins. By 2031, APC will send their presidential votes to the North. What does PDP do? Then you come back and say, because APC takes it to the north, let’s save it in the north. What kind of cleverness is that? ”
When asked if he was still in PDP since he was related to APC, the APC government has been supporting some defections from PDP to APC, Wike responded
“Justice must do this, it is unjust. I have never left the party. I came out and said that this injustice would not be tolerated, and I would not support it. ”
When asked if this was the reason why he separated the party, he said
“No, I’m not. I’m building it”
Recall that Wick is fighting against PDP and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 election. According to him, the party failed to agree to transfer the regional transfer of the southern presidential vote, and the party’s president would be divided into the north.
