Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi (known as Terry G) believes that comparing him to controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola (commonly known as Portable) is disrespectful.
Naija News The report said that due to his street music style and controversial role, portable people are often compared to “Masters of Akpako”.
But in a Thursday article on April 15, 2025, Terry G issued a stern warning not to compare him to portable, claiming that people are still listening to his songs 10 years later.
He wrote: “It’s disrespectful to compare me to portable because I actually have musicians listening to it 10 years later.”
Terry G asserts that his “crazy” is justified when a follower says it might be their “crazy” tendency to compare.
In related news, Fuji star’s lawyer Ahmed Opalekunde, widely known as Osupa, opened up his client’s reason for the case to end the controversial singer Okikiola, which is often called Portable.
Recall that the Kwara State Police Command has dragged and dropped the portable onto the court after the Osupa petition.
Osupa complained directly to the police, accusing portable criminal slander, criminal intimidation, inciting public harassment and cyberstalking.
Osupa’s attorney Opalekunde spoke to Punch on Tuesday, confirming the application to file a lawsuit in Court 1, Ilorin High Court.
He said his clients asked him to withdraw the case after the intervention and seek out prominent stakeholders.
