The House Finance Committee stopped the introduction of the group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Co., Ltd. at a public hearing on the Tax Reform Act.

As the speech suddenly stopped, Kyari resigned from the podium and left the venue.
These four bills – the Nigerian Tax Act, the Tax Administration Act, the Joint Tax Commission Establishment Act and the Nigerian Tax Services Act – were held in the second reading in the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The Senate held public hearings on the bill Monday and Tuesday, while the Green Chamber of Commerce began public hearings on Wednesday and will continue until Friday.
