During a public hearing on Wednesday, Farick invited NNPC to give a speech, Kyari advanced, took the podium and began to speak to the party.

But when Faleke interrupted, Kyari’s speech was shortened, asking if he had made recommendations to the committee.

Kyari replied that clarifications have been made that his memorandum has been revised and that the committee will submit updated documents later.

He tried to continue his speech, but Farick rejected his explanation and unexpectedly showed the door.

Falake said the NNPC boss could speak Thursday or Friday when his proposal was ready without room for negotiation.

As the speech suddenly stopped, Kyari resigned from the podium and left the venue.

These four bills – the Nigerian Tax Act, the Tax Administration Act, the Joint Tax Commission Establishment Act and the Nigerian Tax Services Act – were held in the second reading in the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Senate held public hearings on the bill Monday and Tuesday, while the Green Chamber of Commerce began public hearings on Wednesday and will continue until Friday.
