The sole administrator of River State, Deputy Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-ete ekwe Ibas, CFR formally convened the Hanging River Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy Dr. Ngozi Ordu appeared before him to inquire about appointments over the past two years.
According to a statement signed by state secretary Ibibia Lucky Worika, Fubara was directed to present all relevant documents and records related to the appointment, including reasons and procedures followed during his tenure.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the suspended governor to provide a clear, detailed explanation of why he believes that he should resume his post.
“The ongoing efforts of the sole administrator are designed to restore transparency, accountability and lasting peace in the governance of River State.” Attendance was mandatory.
