Senate President Ekaette Akpabio’s wife dismissed allegations of sexual harassment against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan.
In an interview with Arise TV this morning, Senator Natasha claimed that she had been ridiculed by the Senate president several times for rejecting his sexual behavior on her.
She claimed that several motions she pushed were eliminated because she refused to succumb to what Akpabio called progress.
However, Mrs. Akpabio spoke to journalists at her Abuja residence on Friday to dismiss Senator Natasha’s allegations.
According to Mrs. Akpabio, her family was intimate with Natasha’s, which made her wonder why Natasha’s husband never responded after sexually harassing Akwa Ibom.
“This is an unfortunate allegation. It’s very derogatory because it’s a family. .We knew husband we always knew that man before we married her. They are still very good friends. I really don’t understand where this comes from, I believe someone is going to make such an allegation that must be discussed at home, sanctions or approvals, and whether our friend’s approval comes from my husband, my friend, I believe he will talk to me because when we get close. If the wife complains about something like this, he still comes and his behavior is normal….. The wife will not frown when she tells “Oh, your friend harasses me.” First, his attitude towards people will change, but his attitude has never changed.”
Mrs. Akpabio praised her husband as a man who loves and respects his family, citing his support for women in the government’s records before he became Senate president.
“The Senate President is a very, very responsible and disciplined person. ”
