Anambra state government has denied authorizing security agencies to arrest public women without bras or underwear.
On Sunday, February 16, the videotape showed a trend showing Crier, a town in the city of Abagana in Njikoka LGA, and noted that women without underwear will be arrested after that. Crier town added that the directive was received from state governor Soludo himself.
However, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, the governor’s new SSA media, said such directives did not come from the governor.
He issued a statement on Monday, February 17, which read: “Trend announcement for Crier in Abagana, Njikoka LGA, announcers said that ladies without underwear (bras and pants) would not be arrested. , not. From the state government and Agunechemba safety equipment.
“There is no legal support for such trivial issues and cannot be a key community for the state government or its law enforcement agencies, and it is important to make clarifications so as not to derail the focus of our law enforcement personnel using any excuses.
“Please ignore any such distraction announcements and remember to continue to support security agencies with reliable information about criminals around our community – if you see anything, say something!”
