
The Kogi State Vigilante Services Department has arrested Abdullahi Abubakar, a suspected kidnappers in the local government area of Igalamela/Odolu.
The service spokesman, Saka, revealed this in a statement on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He said that the suspect was the abduction of the community in LGA.
The statement said: “On January 31, 2025, a suspected abductor was arrested at the Agent of the Koizhou Police Department in the Igalame Police Department for about 1800 hours. (Abdullahi Abubakar), located in Abdullahi Abubakar in the Igalamela community in Igalamela/Odolu.
“The suspect was found to have wooden toy guns.
“It has been confirmed that the kidnapper has been intimidating the community, forcing farmers to leave the farmland and trying to abduct.
“The rapid response of the agent caused the suspect to be arrested.
“The suspect and the restored exhibition have been handed over to the Nigerian police forces in Aida Prefecture to conduct further investigation and necessary legal lawsuits.
“The Waggie Victor’s Service Department is still committed to ensuring the safety and guarantee of all communities in the state. We urge residents to keep their vigilance and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.”
