Home Minister Dr Olubunmi Tunji-ojo said that Nigeria’s visa in arrival practice was not cancelled, but was upgraded to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo expressed this at a meeting with Presidential President Zara Odu, Princess Zara Odu, of the Presidential Entrepreneurship of the Business Environment Commission (PEBEC) in Abuja.
According to the minister, travelers can still apply for short-term visas online and get approval within 24 to 48 hours. He added that once approved, the visa will be sent to the applicant’s email, eliminating the need for physical stickers upon arrival.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo said the upgrade was built on the existing online approval system, simplifying the process and enabling travelers to obtain approval in advance.
