Sparrow claims most gospel artists are just in it for the money

Nigerian singer Spiro has called on citizens to boycott foreign countries claiming to be interested in “saving” Nigeria, warning that they may actually come to “kill, steal and destroy”.

In a passionate message, the artist urged Nigerians, especially public figures and artistes to unite and prevent the country from falling into conflict.

Spiro emphasized that this was not a moment for silence, noting that if war broke out, survival would come first and no one would have time for music or entertainment.

He wrote: “This is a very critical moment in this country and now is not the time for anyone with a platform to remain silent. There is no need to form now…

“A war in a country threatens everyone. Guess which superstar, everyone who survives will be busy looking for something to eat, no one has time to listen to music, watch movies/content, go to church/mosque, have nothing to say and do business.

“So Mr. and Mrs. Celebrities, Pastors, Leaders, Business Owners, Content Creators, now is the time to use your platforms to hold governments accountable for what they are doing about the current situation???

“No one is coming to save us, they are only coming to kill, steal and destroy.

“Remember war needs people, without people there is no platform/influence, so use the platform now when it matters.”

He added: “I know it looks like a savior is coming, but the devil always disguises himself as an angel of light. His actual goals are to steal, kill, and destroy. Now is the perfect time to use our platform to demand that governments take the necessary steps to avoid this looming danger.”
