President Bola Ahmed Tinubu explained that his administration has removed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from the Ministry of Finance Single Account (TSA) to accelerate development and enhance residents’ participation in governance.
The president, who received salutation from Sarah at the Presidential Villa, said the bureaucracy associated with the TSA is hindering infrastructure growth in the capital and therefore the impact and progress must be reviewed.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike led residents during the homage.
Naija News The report said it was announced in a statement on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to information and strategy at Tinubu.

President Tinubu stressed that the release of FCT from TSA restrictions has rapidly catalyzed infrastructure improvements, enhanced health care services and improved safety measures.
He said:I remember the day when the FCT Minister came to see me and he said, please take us out of the TSA problem so that I can do more work and achieve more. I said tell me what you are going to do, and he put forward his thoughts and beliefs.
“Everything is starting to change rapidly. I’m starting to see the opening of rural areas of FCT, the recovery of abandoned projects and the completion of the official residence that the Vice President has abandoned over the years. The Health Care Center for FCT Rehabilitation, upgraded the facilities for children in school and provided furniture.”

President Tinubu thanked the FCT Minister for proof that emancipation from the bureaucracy is necessary and that FCT public services should be reorganized so that civil servants can aspire to improve their positions and provide leadership.
“We wouldn’t be able to open our mouths to celebrate if it weren’t for the progressive ideas you brought to FCT. We can now celebrate the innovative ideas that bring to FCT,” Tinubu said.
President Tinubu encourages FCT residents and other Nigerians to transcend racial and religious hues in leadership choices and focus on results.
“Today, we live in peace and security is improving. Hunger is falling. Food prices are falling. We can go to the market and do business. Our diversity and belief in ourselves are getting stronger and stronger.
“We are not looking for magic. We are looking for results. We are looking for comfort. We are praying for good health. We are looking for someone who cares about us.,” the president pointed out.
“This work is not only about me, but everyone. NyesomWike proves the diversity in Nigeria. He strengthens this diversity that has flourished and shows us that we are all members of a family, living together in the same house, in different rooms and under a roof.The president said.
Tinubu urges more tolerance, broad thinking and patriotism.
“What I want to attract is tolerance, which makes us out of reach. We learned some lessons from Ramadan. May the course continue to be with us,” he said.
Minister FCT thanked the President for hosting residents in the state assembly.
He said:This visit marks a historic moment as it is the first time that FCT residents personally send their best wishes to you during this lucky period. We are really happy to be here. ”
