On Thursday evening, May 15, soldiers from Anambra’s joint security team boycotted the attacks of armed criminals at Isuofia’s security checkpoint.
The gunman hit the officer and opened fire at them. In the process, two armed gangsters were neutralized. Unfortunately, one of the security agents was injured, while one of the security operation vehicles was burned by the gangsters.
Commander spokesman DSP Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the incident to the journalist, saying in the subsequent gunfight that the criminals abandoned one of the operating vehicles, a Toyota Sienna, Toyota Sienna and fled the scene due to the outstanding fire of the Joint Security Team.
Ikenga mentioned that state police chief CP Ikioye Orutugu condemned the bill and regarded it as the collective determination of NDI Anambra to work with security forces to expel and eliminate criminals in the state. He assured that the order would arrest the perpetrators behind such unpatriotic behavior.
Ikenga added that at present, more armed agents are combing through nearby bushes to arrest fleeing wrongdoing.
