
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one of the remaining women was seriously injured in a car accident in Lake County Sunday, March 30.
The crash occurred at 19 State Road south of St. Florian Lane at about 3:16 a.m.
A woman in the car shared her videos, drinking and listening to loud music during the moments before the crash.
According to the FHP crash report, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading north on the SR 19 when its driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and the SUV ran out of the road to the right. The car was driven by Shaykaylah Mathis, 30, of Dora Mountain and from Eustis, Kaneisha Lewis, 32. Aqutavia Pew, 28; and a 26-year-old woman whose name has not been released by soldiers.
The report said Jeep hit a pole on his right shoulder and flipped several times, causing the driver and all three passengers to be driven out of the vehicle. Soldiers believed that the jeep crew did not wear seat belts when the crash occurred.
According to FHP, Mathis, Lewis and Pew are pronounced as DE@D on the spot. The 26-year-old Eustis woman was in critical condition at the time of this report, the soldier said.
FHP is still under investigation.
