President Bola Ahmed Tinubu called on governors across Nigeria to continue to work on tangible results to improve the lives of the people, urging them to ignore armchair critics who are just trying to distract from their work at hand.
During a two-day visit to Katsina, the president commissioned a 24-km highway and an agricultural mechanization center, praising Governor Dikko Umar Radda for having a significant impact on agriculture, health care, education and infrastructure in less than two years.
“Let the people be at the heart of your plan. Your hard work and specific achievements will answer any criticism. Ignore distractions – your results will convince you.”

Tinubu stressed the importance of agriculture in driving economic growth and food security, noting that hunger and poverty remain the greatest threat to peace in the country.
The president announced plans to recover the Agricultural Bank of China to fund large, medium and small agriculture.
“The Agricultural Bank is revitalizing. After the recovery, the bank will provide funding for large, small and medium-sized agriculture,” he said.
Governor Radda said the Katina Centre for Agricultural Mechanization will serve 34 local councils in the state, noting that 400 tractors have been purchased under the federal government’s intervention of 25 billion guilds.
