President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the recent bloodshed in the Plateau State, a tragedy that claimed more than 40 lives.

At least 45 people have been confirmed dead and many were injured after a brutal attack on Zike Kimakpa community in Kwall district of the irigwe emirate in Barcelona local government area in Plateau State.

Naija News Understand this attackWhat happened was Sunday night, which left the community in sorrow and destruction.

In a statement to journalists, Tinubu’s special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga revealed that the president strongly condemned the violence and expressed sympathy to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the state government and the people of the plateau, while urging him to urge him to convene the necessary politics to resolve the crisis and build peace.

The statement added:President Tinob’s appeal to seek harmony among the people of the Plateau State stresses the importance of love and unity beyond religion and race. He encourages community, spiritual and political leaders, both inside and outside the country, to unite and end the cycle of retaliation attacks, which makes affected communities intolerable to life.

President Tinubu asserted: “’The ongoing violence among communities in the plateau state stems from misunderstandings between ethnic and religious groups and must be stopped.”

“‘I directed the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the crisis and identify those responsible for these violence. We cannot allow this devastatingness, and the tit-for-Tat attack continues. Enough.

“In addition to dealing with these criminal elements that keep killing, the Plateau State political leadership led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang must address the root cause of this long-term problem. These problems have been around for our twenty years. We no longer ignore potential problems. To solve these problems and solve them in ongoing solutions. I have discussed these problems. I have provided one problem for these problems. I have provided a solution for these problems. I have provided a solution for these problems. I have provided a solution for these problems.

“‘The federal government remains committed to supporting Governor Mutfwang and the Plateau State Government to promote dialogue, promote social cohesion and ensure accountability – a crucial step to permanently resolve plateau conflicts.”
