
President Bola Tinubu extends Kemi Nandap’s term to December 31, 2026 by Deputy Director of Immigration Nigeria.
The extension was disclosed in a statement signed by Tinubu Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga on Monday, March 31.
The President praised Nandap’s leadership, highlighting improvements in border management, immigration modernization and national security under her surveillance.
“Under her leadership, the Nigerian Immigration Agency has made significant progress in its core missions, border management, modernization of immigration processes and significant improvements in national security measures.
“President Tinub praised the Comptroller’s exemplary leadership and urged her to continue to work on the service’s strategic priorities, which coincides with his administration’s renewed hope agenda,” the statement said.
Nandap joined NIS on October 9, 1989 and was appointed Auditor General on March 1, 2024, with its initial term of office scheduled to end on August 31, 2025.
