Pastor Tunde Bakare, former president’s aspirant and host of the Lagos-based global community castle church, said President Bola Tinubu is practicing the politically-based Motor Park brand.
On Easter Sunday, April 20, Bakare warned that under Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, Bakare risked mass uprisings when he conveyed his message at his church unless the government changed security and economic plans.
“Fellow citizens, at the centre of this political banditry, is the motor park brand of politics nursed by the old brigade politicians and, in recent times, by President Bola Tinubu. Those responsible for steering the course of our nation lack the humility and character this moment demands…What we have seen since the beginning of the year is a descent into tyranny and the brazen abuse of power.”
Bakare quoted a July 2024 report from the Finneral Times that accused the president of allowing Naira to fall into free throws, “Come on, fueling import inflation and triggering a life crisis for a generation at the worst costs…These measures have put tens of thousands of already poor people in deeper into pain.”
The clergy who participated in the 2012 Occupy Nigeria protests said there was little patience on the streets because if not restricted, the economic situation could trigger a human-led uprising.
“A man of faith has prayed to the point of fatigue, and now any call to pray seems to be a religious ceremony.
Some have concluded that we have prayed long enough that the anger of the poor can be the worst of social, economic and political situations unless some pragmatic steps are taken,” he believes.
He accused the president of reducing the National Assembly to a “legislative dance paradise” and the 48th member of the cabinet.
“Through its actions and violations, the National Assembly has actually become the 48th member of the president’s cabinet, and the cabinet minister has become more or less the third governor of Rivers, favored by the president.
Mr. President, it is through your influence that the Nigerian National Assembly has become a paradise for the broken legislation. Mr. President, under your supervision, the National Assembly has become an extension of the executive, seriously violating the principles of separation power and rubber stamps, making the whimsical and reciprocity of your office constitute the whimsical of your office, and it is all about singing while singing while singing, international assistants: “Our authorization, we will stand up.”

Bakare urged Tinubu to fire underperforming aides and appoint impeccable honests with transparency and accountability.
