President Bola Tinubu stressed the strength of Nigeria’s diversity and the need to accommodate and manage diversity for the greater good of the nation.
Speech at the Abuja State Capitol on Sunday delegation Led by the Federal Capital Territory Minister (FCT) Nyesom Wike, Tinubu stressed that all citizens need to trust in the Nigerian project.
He also praised Wike for his commendable ideas and projects since he became FCT Minister.
Naija News President Tinob reportedly called Vick specifically the infrastructure and praised him for various projects ongoing in the U.S. capital, where he hopes to win all the Progressive Party Congresses (APCs) in 2027.
“I can see the diversity of men and women here and I have to thank the honorary minister of the FCT. It’s worth it.
This is nothing more than a privilege to become the landlord of everyone in Abuja, the federal capital.
“When we started, he came up with many good ideas to liberate bureaucracy, bring forward, progressive thinking to the government and provide opportunities for many people who are still hampered by property rights.
“The Independent Civil Service Commission’s Solutions and all of the solutions we discuss provide promotions consistent with the civil service structure, the regional commission structure, and the face of a dwindling resource.
“I remember the day when Nyesom Wike came to me and said ‘Please’ please take us out of this Treasury Single Account (TSA) problem so that I could do more work and I got more work.
“He raised this and I introduced my own political guide: ‘Will this give me any chance (APC) to win the FCT election? Then he said, ‘Well, we settled it, oga.’
“And things started to change rapidly, and I began to look at the opening of rural areas, the opening of abandoned projects, and the residence of the vice president who had been abandoned for years.
“The health center is recovering. The sanitation facilities for FCT residents are being upgraded. Our school teachers are repairing and the building is getting the building. Thanks Wike.” Tinubu said.
Abuja is a better place
President Tinub Vick said his status as FCT minister showed results and achieved a large-scale infrastructure transformation in the city.
He said: “We will not be able to open our mouths to celebrate, or even celebrate, because you give the idea of progress.
“Our people are looking for results. They are looking for comfort. They are praying for physical health. They are looking for a fairer person, someone with a heart. It has nothing to do with me, but about each of us, and Nyesom Wike proves the diversity of Nigeria.
“Seeing that we are all members of a family living in the same house, but we live in different rooms. We belong to a family of hope and faith in Nigeria.
“I thank you for believing in this. For cooperation in collaboration and trusting your positive view that we can be peaceful and harmonious with each other regardless of race, religious diversity and belief. I thank you.
The power of diversity
Speaking about the need to promote unity in Nigeria, President Tinob said that although Vick was not from the northern region, he served the country while working in the heart of the northern region of the country.
“It is surprising that Nyesom Wike is not from the north. He is not a Hausa native. He is from southern Nigeria and his ability to work in the center of northern Nigeria is producing fruit. It is a good reflection of our diversity and we have to use us for our prosperity.
“I am just the custodian of your trust. The only Almighty Allah can give power. He said.
Wick’s response
The FCT Minister expressed his contribution to the President’s development and vowed to do more.
“I’m very happy that my boss has confidence in me. If your boss says in public that you’re doing a good job, of course it’s encouragement to continue to do the assigned work.
“For us, we are very happy to be recognized in this administration and we will continue to do Abuja people will be satisfied. So whenever the President talks about us, I am very happy and trying to say something we do, which means he is looking at him and we will not let him down,” Wick said when he raised questions from the state legislator correspondent after his visit.
