The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrive in Nigeria from London to watch Nigeria daily before being buried later today in Daura, Casina.
The body that left the UK earlier in the day was taken over at Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Casina by President Bola Tinubu, Katsina Governor Dikko Umar Radda, senior government officials and members of Buhari’s family.
Buhari was 82 years old in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Recall that Vice President Kashim Shettima, who had earlier directed by President Bola Tinubu, led the federal government, accompanied the body of the former president. The late president is expected to rest in his hometown of Dala later today according to Islamic rituals.
