Addressing political leaders in the north and south regions in Abuja on Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu stressed the urgent need to adhere to the rule of law in the River State to ensure lasting peace and prosperity.
At the Pandef, at a meeting with representatives and leaders of the Niger Delta, President Tinubu reiterated that respect for the judiciary is crucial to maintaining democracy and promoting harmony.
The president advises leaders to be more politically and economically broad, selfless, and focus on salvage the greater vision of the region to ensure respect for the judiciary’s interpretation of the constitution.
The president said stakeholders must sacrifice the state to move forward by recognizing the constitution.
Naija News reported that Tinubu hosted leaders of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (Pandef) at the Presidential Villa of Abuja on Tuesday.
Tinubu said he had foreseeed the current situation and urged them to return home and work for peace while upholding the rule of law.
Kaduna State former governor Nasir El-Rufai claims that the current government is a crisis that creates an opposition crisis.
Naija News reported that El-Rufai made this claim in a viral video online, while addressing some members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
The former government said the trend of jumping from court to court is to distract opposition leaders from their own functions.
According to El-Rufai, some people were signed to cause problems among the opposition.

The House has directed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to require Internet service providers to block access to all websites hosting porn and obscene content.
The directive also requires the NCC to force all Internet service providers to access such content without delay, NAIJA News reported.
The bill was sponsored by Dalhatu Tafoki, a member of the All Progressive Assembly (APC) from Casina State University, and was debated and adopted at a plenary meeting on Tuesday.
In filing the motion, Taffoki stressed that online pornography has become a growing global problem and that Nigeria has not yet taken enough measures to address it.
He stressed that Nigeria is a “highly religious country” and the main belief prohibits nudity and obscene content.
Tafouki further pointed out that several countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East have enacted strict laws banning pornography.
Legislators cited warnings from psychologists and sociologists, highlighting the potential dangers of pornography, pointing out that it can lead to adultery, prostitution and addiction.
