Nollywood actress and film producer, Toyin Abraham has finally spoken out after her photoshoot with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sparked online criticism.
Toyin said on social media that there was a coordinated effort to humiliate and ridicule her after the photos came out. She warned that anyone who targets her without reason will eventually be exposed, stressing that she has evidence to back up her claims.
Toyne said she was not concerned about the suggestion that some cyberattacks were carried out for a fee. She emphasized that as long as she lived with a clear conscience and served God, those who conspired to frame her would not succeed.
The actress revealed that she has screenshots, WhatsApp messages, Telegram chats and even videos of people allegedly admitting to harassing her online and being paid to do so. She added that anyone who accepted money to tarnish her reputation would eventually face public embarrassment, insisting the truth could not be hidden forever.
Prior to her statement, one X user @mariolexxx humorously admitted that she had repeatedly trolled Toyin’s posts following the release of her photos with Tinubu. The user mentioned that members in the group chat encouraged others to repeatedly ask her, “Did Wetin Tinubu tell you?” under her post.
Although the post was tongue-in-cheek, it sparked a broader discussion about targeted online harassment. However, Toyin responded seriously, claiming that what appeared to be a joke was part of a deliberate effort to smear her.
She also clarified that while she has forgiven those involved, forgiveness does not mean she will remain silent. According to her, the evidence she collects will ultimately be more convincing than speculation and ridicule.
Finally, Toyin responded to claims that her previous silence indicated guilt, explaining that she chose peace rather than engage in public disputes until the situation became too twisted to ignore.
