British defender Trent Alexander-Arnold officially said goodbye to Premier League champion Liverpool.
As his current contract with Liverpool is due to expire on June 30, 2025, this puts Trent Alexander-Arnold’s 20-year spell at the club end.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, reflected on his time at Anfield, saying, saying, “I think first of all, I want to say it’s not an easy decision and there’s a lot of thought and feeling. I’ve been here for 20 years, fell in love with every minute, achieved all my dreams, achieved everything I want to hear.”
Alexander-Arnold joined Liverpool’s Academy at the age of six, and he joined the senior debut in 2016. Since then, he has made 352 appearances in the club’s Golden Age, scoring 23 goals and has played a key role in the Golden Age, including eight seasons of honors this season, including the Premier League title this season.
“I have to give everything every day, stay for 20 years every day, and now I feel like I need new changes, which is a new challenge for me as a player and a person. I think now is the right time for me to do this, He said.
Alexander-Arnold gave a direct speech to Liverpool fans, expressing his appreciation and urging them to continue celebrating the team’s success instead of letting his departure beat a victorious season.
“You have been there from the beginning, you support me, you have been there.” He said. “I feel supportive, love…I love it every minute.
“I just hope everyone can’t introduce the news for a long time and be able to celebrate what the rest of the lads did.”
