U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spent a moment together at the funeral of Pope Francis.
The world leader is portrayed as “one-on-one” in St. Peter’s Basilica, involving possible peace proposals in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“[It was a] Good meeting. “We want results for everything we cover,” Zelenskyy said in an article on X.
Ukrainian leaders praised the informal mini-ritual “very symbolic”.
They discussed “protection” [the] Zelenskyy said the lives of our people are “full and unconditional ceasefires” and “reliable and lasting peace that will prevent another war from breaking out.”
He added that the discussion “if we achieve common results, it is possible that it will be historic.”
