Mohammed said the PDP welcomes willingness to join their political parties, individuals or groups.
He said: “Notifying national speculation about the possibility of mergers of parties, groups and/or associations, the forum decided not to join any alliance or merger.
“However, as a major opposition party, the PDP welcomes any political party, person or group that is willing to join in the hope of wrestling power and taking on good leadership in 2027.”
2023 Labor presidential candidate Peter Obi asserted that the Benue state government’s visit to his planned visit to the Internal Displaced Persons (IDPS) calls for treatment to be made to change his approach to political issues.
Naija News reported that Peter Obi, who is actively engaged in humanitarian activities and propaganda for victims of violence in Nigeria, plans to visit the IDP camp in Benue.
The former Anambra governor had previously visited camps in the plateau, southern Kaduna and Nasarawa states, where he met with displaced families, donated relief materials, and advocated emergency government intervention.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has firmly refuted the claim by Ibokette Ibas (RTD), the only Chief Executive of Rivers State, that the state has paid 300 million to pay the custody of the 2025 Annual General Conference (AGC), and the country has now relocated to the enugu state.
In a statement released Monday, the NBA addressed IBAS’s need for so-called refunds of funds, clarifying that the $300 million from Rivers State is a gift, not a gift related to any host rights of the conference.
The NBA dismissed the allegations through its meeting planning committee chair Emeka Obegolu (SAN), noting that it was the standard procedure for the NBA to seek financial support for its AGC activities.
The statement explained that such support is completely unconditional and has nothing to do with any right to preside over the meeting.
Naija News reported that the controversy came after the NBA National Executive Committee (NEC) decided to transfer the 2025 AGC site from Harcourt Port to Enugu.
23 Nigeria’s power generation companies have issued a clear warning that they may be forced to shut down operations as a deepening financial crisis plagued the power sector.
According to them, more than $4 trillion in outstanding debt now makes it increasingly difficult for the entire country to continue to provide electricity supply.
Gencos operates under the protection of the Association of Power Generators (APGC) and issued an alert in a statement released on Monday. The information was recognized by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Colonel Sani Bello (Retired).
Gencos stressed that unless governments intervene urgently, the growing debt and critical operational challenges could peak in the full closure of power generation facilities nationwide.
They described the non-payment of electricity provided and consumed on the national grid as a dangerous trend that drove Nigeria’s already fragile power sector to a full collapse.
In its statement titled “More than 4 trillion unpaid invoices threaten Gencos’ upcoming closure,” the group dismissed the federal government’s failure to articulate the industry’s financial strategy.
They also highlighted the intensification of financial and operational issues within the Nigerian Electric Power Supply Industry (NESI).
Chief of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief George has debunked the assumption that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the leader of the party.
According to George, the fact that Atiku is a former presidential candidate for the PDP did not automatically make him the party’s leader.
He added that while Atiku has been pushing for the opposition coalition to participate in the 2027 general election, he is not in the direction of the party itself, as the governor announced after a meeting in Ibadan on Monday.
When asked if Atiku could be the 2027 PDP presidential candidate, George skewedly replied that he couldn’t. The older politician added that the PDP believed in the principle of power rotation between the North and the South.
The Naija News report added in the interview that Atiku should be the 2027 presidential candidate for PDP, which will be the end of the party.
