Two Ekiti teachers bags, each of whom is jailed for 22 years.

Today, on February 25, Justice Adeniyi Familoni of the Ekiti High Court sentenced two teachers to 22 years in prison.

Prosecutors, Kunle-Shina Adeyemi, told the court that the defendants, Gbenga Ajibola, 43, and Olaofe, 52, were told by the court. Ayodele) was charged on March 2, 2022 for R@PE and abuse.

He said sometime in November 2019, the defendant was two female students (named) aged 17 and 15 in Ado-Ekiti r@PED, respectively.

According to him, the crime violated Article 31 (2) of the Child Rights Act. C7, Ekiti State’s Law, 2012.

One victim testified in court that one of Ajibola’s criminals was her computer teacher who always bothered her during class.

“On this day, he told me to go to Mufti and gave me N200 to wait for him to be in front of the filling station along the Bank Road.

Later he came there with Mr. Olaf, but before they came, one of my classmates saw me there, and she told me that Mr. Olaf asked her to wait for him there.

When they came we all went to a hotel near the Oke-ila area of Ado Ekiti. When we got there we were taken to a different room where Mr. Ajibola had sex with me.

After that day, he continued to bother me, and when I could no longer stand it, I told the story of what my mother brought up later. ” She narrated

To prove his case, prosecutors convened four witnesses and defendants’ declaration statements, medical reports, and interview teams.

In addition, the defendant’s attorney, Mr. Lawrence Fasanmi, summoned six witnesses to prove his case.

The family judge made a judgment in the case, saying that the defendants shared their thoughts and numbed the voice of conscience as they exploited the victims in reckless abandonment.

“They should seriously sanction their wrongdoing as a warning and a warning to others who may want to follow in the footsteps,” the judge said.

As a result, Justice Familoni sentenced the defendant to 20 years in prison without choosing a second and two years of fines without the need to pay.

The judge said the judgments should be made simultaneously.
