Two immigration officials were mistaken for an armed robber in the Sabon Iddo area of Abuja by a man identified as Rev. Plinton, who is currently the whole.
Police sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred around 10:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, when police officers Oyomide Zion and Hakeem Mashood were conducting regular movements in the area.
According to police sources, at around 11:40 p.m., police from the IDDO division received a call in distress and deployed the patrol to the scene.
Upon arrival, another immigration officer, Uduk James, reported that his colleague was shot and killed.
The injured officers were evacuated to the Nigerian Air Force Base Hospital in Abuja, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Police sources said efforts to track and arrest the flee suspect identified as alias of the Reverend Darlington have been strengthened.
