
Two policemen were kidnapped in a gunfight between police officers and kidnappers in Plateau State!
The incident took place on Tuesday night along Little Rayfield Road in Jos on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, where kidnappers attempted to kidnap the victim.
State Police Commander Spokesman DSP Alabo Alfred confirmed the development in a statement Wednesday, February 26, saying four kidnappers were arrested for the incident.
He identified the late officers as Fatoyo Femi and Inspector Dafur Dashit, who were part of a special team deployed from Abuja to assist in the kidnapping of the state.
“The Plateau State Police Department hopes to inform the public of the recent foul-cracking kidnapping along Little Rayfield Road, Joss Jr., arrests four (4) alleged kidnappers,” the statement said.
βHowever, our two (2) officials, Fatoyo Femi and Inspr Dafur Dashit, were affiliated with Jos in the Abuja Force Investigation Department (IRT), who held special duties at Jos, who died while communicating with suspicious kidnappers. β
“The case is under investigation. Further developments will be communicated to you in due course.”
Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, the police chief of the Plateau State Command, also urged residents to remain calm and assure them that the situation is under control.
