Two scavengers arrested for stealing aluminum cables in Ogun.
Expert state community, social inclination and security forces, also known as the SO-SAFE regiment, are rare to steal two aluminum cables in Obada-Oko in the Ewekoro local government area of the state.
The suspects, Kamoru Mustapha and Mubarak Idris, were arrested on Saturday on a routine patrol.
The arrest was through a press statement issued by the office of Soji Ganzallo, the Office of Director of Information and Public Relations.
Part of the statement reads: “Around 0500 hours on March 29, 2025, officers from the regular patrol arrested two suspects, Kamoru Mustapha, 25, and Mubarak Idris, 26, for allegedly stealing aluminum cable wires.
“The suspect was a scavenger, and the bushes were captured on the aluminum cable line of Obada-Oko in Obada-Oko in the Ewekoro local government area.”
The state commander revealed that the suspect pleaded guilty to the crime during the trial.
He added that the suspects and the restored exhibitions have been transferred to the Ogun State commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dekudu Village, along Kobape Road in Abeokuta for further investigation and possible prosecution.
