- Uche Maduagwu publicly criticized 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) for its new political role.
- 2Baba was appointed as a technical consultant for entertainment and community outreach in Benue State.
- The appointment was visited by Governor Hyacinth Alia on April 23.

Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu criticized the innocent Idibia, commonly known as 2Baba, who recently made a political appointment in Benue State.
2BABA was appointed as a technical consultant for entertainment and community publicity visiting Makurdi State Government Building on Wednesday, April 23.
After reacting to the news, Maduagwu took to Instagram to question the singer’s acceptance of the character, accusing 2Baba of rejecting it several times in the past.
He wrote:
“Incredible! 2baba, isn’t this a special counsel to the #Benue Governor’s job you allegedly rejected, because a few years ago, was this someone who was below your status? There was no job you happily and fortunately accepted together, just making people think you’ve done a good job or improved?
The actor went further, suggesting that the appointment was part of 2baba’s efforts to maintain a positive public image after being separated from his wife, Annie Idibia, which now calls Annie Macaulay.
“2baba is doing everything he can to make people think he is doing well. You allegedly rejected the special counsel for the job of the governor of Benue State whom you have repeatedly refused, because it was lower than you were a few years ago and you are now happy to accept you, Maduagwu added.
His post sparked reactions online, with fans debating the motivation for 2Baba’s decision and the sharp comments from Maduagwu.
