This is a merit-based scholarship offered by the USF Office of Admissions to first-year international and transfer students considering undergraduate degree programs at USF.

- Acceptance criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Assume a student completes all four years of high school at a U.S. institution. In this case, they must complete the student’s self-reported academic record.
- Assume the student completed any year of high school at an institution outside the United States. In this case, they must submit high school transcripts (unofficial international and official domestic). Do not submit self-reported academic records.
How to Apply for the University of South Florida International Freshman Scholarship
- How to apply: Applicants must submit a complete application for admission to be considered for merit-based scholarships. A separate application is not required for the scholarship, but all required information must be submitted.
- Supporting documents: You will need to provide required information when applying, including an application fee or fee waiver, official SAT or ACT scores, official high school transcripts, and other required documents. Log in to usf.edu, select OASIS and review the admissions checklist to ensure your application is complete.
- Admission requirements: Complete SSAR: All freshman applicants must complete and submit the Student Self-Reported Academic Record (SSAR) as part of their application package. Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:
- 50+ GPA and
- 1210+ SAT (evidence-based reading, writing, and math only) OR
- 25+ actions
- Test scores – ACT or SAT
- Language requirements: Applicants to USF undergraduate programs must demonstrate English language proficiency.
USF International Freshman Scholarship Benefits
The University of South Florida will provide $4,000 (up to $1,000 per year) in scholarships for full-time, four-year undergraduate education through merit-based scholarships through the USF Office of Admissions.
