IMO State Governor Hope Uzodinma expressed strong belief that the All Progressive Conference (APC) will continue to welcome a growing number of opposition defectors as the 2027 election approaches.
Speaking in Abuja on Saturday after a strategic meeting with political stakeholders from the Delta state, Uzodinma highlighted the gathering around the ruling party.

Uzodinma said:You can see the trend moving, people joining, and it won’t end it. You must have heard that our political parties in the Delta are growing. The highest point in the party’s status is that Delta is now almost a one-party state. ”
As chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Uzodinma highlighted the importance of effectively managing the growing influx of new members.
He pointed out APC Its internal structure will be relied on to ensure smooth integration within the party and maintain unity.
“We have to meet to be able to manage this very great success to ensure that the mechanism is used, the internal mechanism of the great party so that we will get new members, new leaders. We will then unite as a family, grow the party and provide support to the government in the Delta to benefit our people and members of the great party. ” He said.
Uzodinma further described recent developments to demonstrate the rise in acceptance of APCs nationwide, adding “So I think we are satisfied with this fact and testimony to the fact that the APC government in Nigeria is admired by many, if not all and all, of people.”
