- VeryDarkMan has reacted to the Wizkid and Seun Kuti controversy, stating that Nigeria has failed to properly respect its music legend and criticized Wizkid for citing Fela instead of mentioning Seun Kuti directly.
- He suggested that invoking Fela’s legacy took the focus away from the actual issues between the two artistes.

Popular social media commentator VeryDarkMan weighed in on the ongoing exchange between Afrobeat star Wizkid and activist musician Seun Kuti, sharing strong opinions on how Nigeria treats music legends.
Reacting to this controversy, VeryDarkMan believes that Nigeria is a country that does not properly respect its musical legends.
According to him, while other countries celebrate and idolize their senior artistes, Nigerians often view their achievements as “past glory”.
He further criticized the tone of Wizkid’s exchange with Seun Kuti, saying he wished Wizkid had addressed Seun Kuti directly instead of referring to his late father, Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
VeryDarkMan said invoking Fela’s legacy takes the focus away from the actual issues between the two artists.
In other news… A Nigerian woman has sparked a heated debate online after sharing her views on how single women can find a husband, amid growing concerns over the difficulty of meeting men who are ready for marriage.
In a viral post shared by @Janefrances_Al on
She advises women to focus on building a successful career while embracing traditional marital roles, including caring for and supporting their husbands. The woman further encouraged tolerance, suggesting that wives should avoid confrontation even if their husbands show interest in other women.
She emphasizes financial independence, saying a thriving career can help women make better relationship decisions.
In her words:
“Husbands are easy to find, and girls nowadays are so picky!!!
If not, finding a husband is easy. All you have to do is have a thriving career and then choose a man from the Nigerian crowd to house him, feed him, take care of him, and perform all your duties as a wife.
It’s not over yet. When he starts to wander, or his eyes start to wander, you either make friends with all women calmly, without complaining, without arguing, or better yet, turn a blind eye when the man you live in, clothe, and provide for repays your kindness with lust.
Like I said, men are easy to get. This is the generation of women who dare to think they deserve better than what their mothers and aunts gracefully endured. “
