Rivers Governor Rufus Ada George accused the federal capital’s territorial minister Nyesom Wike of being behind the current political turmoil in the state.

This includes the declaration of a state of emergency, as well as the controversial appointment of the sole administrator in all 23 local government areas.

Naija News It is reported that George served as governor from 1992 to 1993 and now leads the River Elders and Leaders Forum, and he made these statements at a press conference to address the state’s recent political events.

George said despite the prevalence of turmoil, the forum remains optimistic, with the FCT ministers going to interact with relevant stakeholders to ease tensions and promote dialogue.

He also mentioned that the River Elders Forum has contacted the Governor Siminayi Fubara At the beginning of the crisis, Vick, but received no response.

George said, “The FCT Minister is the architect of all these things,” accusing him of cheating on the flames of instability after failing to impose his political agenda on the state’s leadership.

“He could set up a fire nation and the governor did not share his views.

“That’s exactly what I think he’s trying to do in River State. Enough. We’re not going to allow him to set the burning of the River State.”

Naija News The long-time politician said the minister was a few days before the announcement of his appointment, the report said.

“He reportedly arrived here on Monday night 7, and the entire place visited military administrators. Then, the news passed,” George said.

He strongly condemned the orders, calling them unconstitutional and attacks on democratic governance.

“Appointing the sole executive is unconstitutional,” George said.

“There are legal procedures that constitute local government leadership. This action undermines these principles.”

Ada George insists that the forum will continue to seek a peaceful solution, but warns that the river facing provocative will not fold its arms.

“We cannot physically…but we will resist in any form that will destroy or confuse this state.

“We hope he can negotiate with stakeholders to build peace, calm tensions and resolve issues between the two parties, not escalate, not escalate. He said.

Ada George cited Dr. Namdi Azikiwe, the first president of Nigeria, to call for calm: “Surgere, Surauter” – Please be patient and stay silent. I’m going to borrow Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and say Surulere to everyone involved in these activities, Surulere.

“We did communicate with both parties in writing…but unfortunately, we did not receive any politeness in response to any reply.”

George reiterated the Forum’s commitment to legal resolutions.

“We will go to court if necessary. Currently we have cases, we will continue, we will continueHe confirmed.
