Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof will report leaving Old Trafford to join Benfica at the end of the season.
Victor Lindelof hasn’t started a Premier League match this season and has had less than five final matches against Fulham in the FA Cup after a second half of the bench on Sunday.
Lindelof’s contract will expire at the end of the season, but at this time, Manchester United’s board of directors has not yet expressed any willingness to pay him a new deal. The 30-year-old reportedly eager to return to Benfica after leaving in 2025.
Swedish International spent about five years at Benfica, and he allegedly welcomed his re-play for the Hawks. Benfica currently has top defenders like Nicolas Otamendi, Tomas Araujo, Antonio Silva and Adrian Bajrami.
Other players who are leaving Manchester United include Christian Erikson, Tom Heaton, and Joni Evans.
