Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman and Ratel president, recently shared a video discussing Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua.

The boxer experienced a tragic loss in December 2025 when two of his friends died in a car accident during a visit to Ogun State, Nigeria. Only Joshua and his driver survived the accident. Joshua was later hospitalized abroad and the incident sparked a backlash online.

While in Morocco watching the Africa Cup of Nations match between Nigeria and the host nation, Verydarkman posted a video aimed at raising awareness about road safety in Nigeria. In the video, he stands on a roadside in Morocco and points to a sign marked “80,” explaining that such speed limit signs can help prevent accidents like the one that killed Joshua’s friend.

He emphasized that the numbers on the signs indicate the maximum speed that drivers should abide by. VDM recalled that while traveling in Morocco, police stopped them several times for speeding and issued fines to enforce compliance. He noted that these measures would help reduce reckless driving and improve road safety.

In the video, VDM also shows the car’s dashboard to illustrate the vehicle’s speed. He emphasized that speed limits are often lowered near curves, with clear signage to guide drivers to safety.

The VDM urged Nigerian authorities and road safety agencies to install appropriate road signs and deploy police officers to monitor traffic violations.

It comes after Verydarkman reacted to a tragic accident involving Joshua’s friend, blaming a parked truck and criticizing the government for a lack of basic road safety infrastructure. He also called for stricter regulation of trucks on Nigeria’s roads.

Finally, VDM reflected on the emotional impact of this tragedy on Joshua, who lost friends who came to celebrate with him while praying for the deceased and his family.
