
Mathela Ariga Make, the village chief of Dutsan Gaya in Mathela Ariga Make in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State, was found D3AD was reportedly occupied by the local cordon group (Yan Sakai).
The Kaduna State Police Department confirmed the incident, noting that the body of the Mecca Horse was found on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in the suburb of Sabon Garin Rimau in the same LGA.
A police source told security analyst Zagazola Makama that allegedly armed members of Yan Sakai rushed into Dutsan Gaya in the early hours of the day and drove the traditional rulers away.
“A few hours later, his body was found suspected of being a gunshot wound,” the source said.
Kasuwan Magani’s department police (DPO) led a team of police officers and alert people to the scene, and the deceased was taken to a rural hospital and confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
Police have since called for peace by calling for peace by holding an emergency meeting with Dutsan Gaya and neighboring villages.
“This situation is being closely monitored and efforts are being made to determine the killing and arrest of those responsible,” said a senior security officer who asked to be anonymous.
The body has been stored in Gomna Anwan General Hospital in Kakuri, Kakuri, awaiting autopsy.
